My husband needs his coffeee and although he likes starbucks, he'd rather go to a locally owned spot. A Common Ground totally fits the bill. When traveling through on Interstate 75, it's hard to find a good spot between Knoxville and Lexington for a nice meal. Jellico, TN of all places finally offers a great spot. A Common Ground is a mom and pop shop that acts like a Seattle Coffeehouse! They have got the cappuccinos and blended coffee drinks my husbnad loves but they have got lots of great non-coffee drinks - fruit blasts, creme blends, chai lattes and Italian sodas. While check our e-mail with the free Wi-Fi, we enjoyed great sandwiches offered as wraps, on croissants or bread. They offered a soup and sandwich special which smelled heavenly! They had some cinnamon chip scones and chocolate chip scones sitting under a cake dome - we were stuffed so we took them to go! What a great stop! And only a mile away from the highway, past all those fast food places. Definitely worth the drive in!
